Marcus is a former undercover ASIO agent who spent six years working in the shadows to keep Australians safe. He and his family made sacrifices most Australians will never know about, and never asked for recognition in return.

When Marcus witnessed things that troubled him deeply he spoke up. His testimony across two episodes of the ABC's Four Corners program was a significant act of public interest disclosure, the kind of reporting that a healthy democracy depends on.

Marcus was forced to leave the country he served. He now lives in exile without the protection the Government has the power to provide.

This is not how Australia should treat someone who gave years of their life to national security and then had the courage to tell the truth.

Marcus also holds information directly relevant to the Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion. The Government should ensure that he is safe and able to contribute.
