To Jason Clare MP, Minister for Education,
Defend the Campus. Stop the University Speech Crackdown.
Protest on university campuses is being shut down.
The Australian Government has introduced a regime that grades every university from A to D. Not on teaching. Not on research. On how well they police what students say, where they gather, and what signs they hold.
Academics are being censored and made to attend speech suppression training. Events cancelled before they even happen. Vice-chancellors are being turned into enforcers. This is political surveillance dressed up as campus safety. It’s suppressing speech, controlling thought, and stamping out protest.
Universities are supposed to encourage argument, freedom of thought, and academic inquiry. This regime exists to end that.
If this stands, it won't stop at universities.
Sign the petition. Demand the Government scrap the report cards and defend free thought on every campus in Australia.
